Reflection

2 Samuel 9 shows that grace goes beyond what is deserved. Mephibosheth had no way to repay, yet received kindness because of a covenant.

David’s attitude reveals a heart that honors commitments and demonstrates mercy in a practical way.

As presented in Patriarchs and Prophets, chapter 70, faithfulness to commitments reflects the character of one who walks with God.

This passage teaches that true greatness lies in lifting others up, restoring dignity and offering them a place at the table.
