Reflection
Joshua 24 shows that faith is built on memory. Before calling for a decision, Joshua recalls everything God had already done for the people.
The choice to serve God cannot be automatically inherited. Each generation must consciously decide whom they will follow.
As presented in Patriarchs and Prophets, chapter 49, Joshua’s final appeal reveals that commitment to God requires continuous and intentional decision.
This passage teaches that not deciding is also a choice. Joshua’s call makes it clear that serving God requires a firm position.
