Text Structure
Josh 2:1-3
The sending of the spies. Joshua sends two men to observe Jericho, and they enter Rahab’s house, drawing the attention of the city’s king.
Josh 2:4-7
The protection by Rahab. Rahab hides the spies and deceives the king’s messengers, demonstrating decision and courage in the face of risk.
Josh 2:8-11
The declaration of faith. Rahab recognizes God’s power and states that the entire city is gripped by fear because of Israel.
Josh 2:12-14
The request for preservation. Rahab asks for protection for her family, and the spies make an agreement based on mutual faithfulness.
Josh 2:15-21
The escape plan. Rahab helps the spies escape and receives instructions to ensure her future safety.
Josh 2:22-24
The return of the spies. They return to Joshua and report that the land is ready, because fear had fallen upon its inhabitants.

Reflection
Joshua 2 shows that faith can arise in unexpected places. Rahab, even outside the people of Israel, recognizes God’s work and chooses to trust.
Her attitude reveals that courageous decisions can change destinies. In the midst of risk, she chooses to act based on what she believed to be true.
This passage teaches that God values sincere faith, regardless of origin. Those who respond to truth have the opportunity to be part of the plan.
