Reflection

Numbers 17 shows that God leaves no doubt when He wants to confirm something. After the rebellion, He establishes a clear sign to end questioning.

The staff that blossoms reveals that what God chooses receives life and confirmation. It does not depend on outward appearance, but on divine decision.

As presented in Patriarchs and Prophets, chapter 35, God acts decisively to preserve order and prevent the people from continuing in error.

This passage teaches that recognizing what God establishes brings security. Continual questioning can lead to instability, but trust produces peace.
