Reflection
Exodus 10 and 11 show that prolonged resistance leads to increasingly serious consequences. The time for decision is not unlimited, and each rejection makes the heart more hardened.
Pharaoh’s attempts to negotiate reveal an incomplete willingness. He wanted relief from the consequences, but not full submission to God’s will.
As presented in Patriarchs and Prophets, chapter 23, the final judgment did not come without warning. God offered repeated opportunities before the decisive moment, revealing both His justice and His patience.
