Reflection
Exodus 4 shows that God does not ignore doubts, but responds to them with patience and direction. The calling does not remove insecurity, but teaches us to trust beyond it.
Moses’ limitations reveal something common: we often focus on what we lack, while God is already looking at what He can do through us.
As presented in Patriarchs and Prophets, chapter 22, Moses’ preparation involved not only learning, but inner transformation. God was shaping his character before using him.
This passage teaches that God does not call the most prepared—He prepares those He calls. Walking with Him supplies what is lacking and strengthens us along the way.
