Reflection
Genesis 12 shows that a relationship with God often begins with a call to leave our comfort zone.
As presented in Patriarchs and Prophets, chapter 11, Abram did not receive all the details of the journey, but chose to trust in God’s direction. His obedience was not based on the security of the destination, but on trust in the One who was guiding him.
The journey of faith does not eliminate challenges. Even after obeying, Abram faces difficulties, showing that following God does not mean the absence of problems, but the presence of purpose.
This passage teaches us that true faith involves action, trust, and perseverance, even when we cannot see the entire path ahead.
