Reflection

Genesis 6 shows that when sin becomes collective, it affects not only individuals, but society as a whole.

At the same time, Noah’s story reveals that even in the midst of widespread corruption, it is possible to live faithfully before God. As presented in Patriarchs and Prophets, chapter 7, Noah not only received instructions but responded with obedience, trusting God even without seeing the immediate outcome.

This reminds us that God is just in dealing with sin, but also gracious in providing a way of preservation. Noah’s obedience shows that faithfulness to God does not depend on the surrounding context, but on the personal decision to trust and follow His direction.
